👋 A Message from the ASA
Hi all –
Josh Beaver here, General Manager of the Australian Swimmers’ Association (ASA).
The ASA has recently hit reset – to re-establish our purpose and begin strengthening engagement across the swimming community: current Dolphins, Alumni, partners, and friends of the ASA.
We’ve heard you — “Who is the ASA, and what do they do?” Rest assured, we’re listening. Behind the scenes, we’ve been doing the groundwork to ensure the ASA is purposefully and meaningfully contributing to your journey — not just as an athlete, but as a person, in and beyond the pool.
With the recent appointments of Rob Woodhouse as CEO and Chris Fydler as President of Swimming Australia, we’re encouraged by a renewed commitment to athlete-first leadership. It’s a powerful signal that swimmers — past, present, and emerging — are recognised as critical stakeholders in shaping the future of our sport.
Over the coming weeks, you’ll hear more from us — from opportunities to get involved, to alumni events, athlete support tools, and a clearer articulation of ASA’s role and programs. Our aim is simple: to strengthen your voice and position in the sport and beyond, support your performance holistically, and help elevate your experience as a Dolphin.
If you haven’t already, we invite you to register your details so we can contact you and stay connected as we build the next chapter of the ASA together.
